Cheyenne is a rescue through our partner, Front Range Equine Rescue. We pulled her off a slaughter lot, where she was languishing with a large and very painful squamous cell carcinoma tumor on her hind end. It was massively infected and dripping puss down her tail and legs, and it had obviously been left to grow for years.

After a course of antibiotics to calm the infection down, Cheyenne went to the vet hospital for surgery to have the tumor removed and have her genital region reconstructed. We are happy to report that the surgery was a complete successful, and now Cheyenne will have many more years of a happy and PAIN FREE life ahead of her.

Cheyenne has received some much-needed farrier and dental care, and now just needs to finish gaining weight. Once she is ready, she will be evaluated for training (she is reportedly kid-broke to ride).
